Cathy Gabbard Saunders, lead |
 |
Cathy Gabbard Saunders, lead
singer, has excelled in singing and preaching under a
heavy anointing. Cathy began singing as a young girl but
really dedicated herself to singing for the Lord when
she was 15. Many have commented on Cathy's freedom to
sing and worship the Lord. Her uncompromising love for
the Lord is evidenced when she ministers with authority.
Cathy has given vocal lessons to a lot of people and has
taught at Dr. Charles Novell’s Christian Music
Conference.
Cathy is married to Jamie, her husband of 16 years, and
they have one son named Royce who is 11 and one daughter
named Andi who is 3. Royce was named in honor of Cathy’s
father, the late Reverend Roy Gabbard. Jamie is also a
minister and the Sunday School Superintendent at the
Gabbard Tabernacle. God has blessed their family
creatively, several years ago their house was
struck by lightning and had major damage. As a result
the home was completely remodeled and God made a way to
pay off all other debts except the mortgage. God
specializes in turning trials into blessings. |

Rob Gabbard, sound/piano |
 |
Rounding out The Gabbards is Gary's son, Rob Gabbard. Rob has been preaching for
several years and he plays piano for the group. Rob
first learned to play the bass guitar at the age of 13.
A couple years later, he picked out a song on the piano
he heard from a TV commercial and within 6 months he
taught himself how to play the piano by ear and was
playing in church. He can also play several other
instruments including, organ, bass guitar, and drums.
Rob has a great ear for music and has started writing
songs.
Rob is married to Felicia, his wife of 3 years.
Rob runs the sound for The Gabbards and plays the piano
in services and in revivals. He has turned into a
jack-of-all-trades for the group since he is also one of
the bus drivers. Rob is in the early years of his
ministry and we believe he’ll continue to blossom into a
great worker and minister for the Lord. |
