Welcome to the Gabbard Tabernacle |
|
The Gabbard Tabernacle was founded in 1965 as part of the
Gabbard Evangelistic Association, Inc. which has its
headquarters in Butler, Kentucky. The association was started by
Roy and Catherine Gabbard in 1963. The ministry consists of The
Gabbard Tabernacle, The Uptown Church located in Cincinnati,
Ohio, The Gabbards Southern Gospel Group and daily radio
broadcasts on various radio stations. Reverend and Mrs.
Gabbard's children are the fourth generation of Pentecostal
preachers carrying on the great heritage of preaching the full
gospel message of the New Testament church.
Pastors and Ministers
| Reverend Gary Gabbard, Pastor |
 |
Reverend Gary Gabbard is the Pastor of
the Gabbard Tabernacle and the President of Gabbard
Evangelistic Association. He has been pastor since he
was 19 years old. At the age of 17 he had a drowning
accident where he was under the water for at least 15
minutes. The people at the scene gave up reviving him
after all attempts at CPR failed. Gary Miraculously came
back to life on the side of the lake. He was rushed to
the hospital where he spent 24 hours in Critical
Condition with no prognosis to live. He had double
pneumonia in every lobe of his lungs and wasn’t supposed
to live. God had other plans. Reverend Roy and Catherine
Gabbard, Gary’s parents, knew that the same God that
brought him back to life was able to heal his sick body.
Gary woke up 24 hours later feeling perfect and in fact
asked the nurse for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Immediately
the doctors were called in and new X-rays revealed a
miracle took place. His lungs were perfect and there was
no more pneumonia. God is still a miracle worker.
Rev. Gary started pastoring at 19 at the Gabbard
Tabernacle. His ministry has grown and this testimony
and many others have opened the door for his ministry.
Gary preaches a powerful healing and deliverance faith
message every Sunday morning at the Gabbard Tabernacle.
He is also a tremendous leader a great example of our
Savior’s grace and mercy. |
| Evangelist Charlotte Gabbard Settle |
|
Reverend Charlotte Gabbard Settle
(Sister Charlotte) began preaching a fiery message with
a heavy anointing at the age of 15 years. In fact, After
completing her first message, she prayed for a woman in
the service. God showed her that he was healing the baby
in her womb. The lady explained after the service that
the baby had died and surgery was scheduled to remove
the dead baby the following week. God completed the
miracle and the baby came back to life and was born
healthy. Sister Charlotte’s miracle ministry is now in
the 50th year and still going strong. She still preaches
every Saturday evening at 7:00 PM at the Uptown Church
in Cincinnati, Ohio. And every Sunday night at 6:00 PM
at the Gabbard Tabernacle in Grants Lick, Kentucky.
Sister Charlotte took a stand for God in High School and
he continues to bless her ministry today. She has
traveled to many places in the U.S. to preach the
Gospel. |
| Cathy Saunders, Associate Minister |
|
Cathy Saunders, is not only a talented
singer for The Gabbards, but she also preaches under a
heavy anointing. Cathy is an Associate Minister at the
Gabbard Tabernacle where she has been ministering for
over 16 years. She leads the Thursday evening, 7:30
p.m., service where many of the younger ministers and
singers participate in the service. Cathy’s dedication
and her uncompromising love for the Lord is evidenced
when she ministers with authority. Many people comment
when they hear Cathy sing and testify that “I’d love to
hear that girl preach.” You can see her preaching and
singing in many of the mid-week services at both of our
churches. |
| Jamie Saunders, Assistant Pastor |
|
Jamie Saunders is the Assistant Pastor
at the Gabbard Tabernacle. He has been preaching for
over 16 years and can be seen preaching at different
times in various services. Jamie ministers in many of
the mid-week services at both of our churches. Jamie was
saved at twelve years of age after attending Vacation
Bible School with neighbors. He felt the calling of the
Lord to preach as a teenager. Jamie often testifies how
God found him early enough to keep him out of a lot of
trouble, but just on time to realize how “Amazing” God’s
“Grace” is. He preaches in the Sunday morning 10:45 a.m.
service from time to time as well. Jamie is also the
Sunday School Superintendent and enjoys working in many
capacities with the people in our church. |
| Rob Gabbard, Minister of Music |
|
Rob Gabbard is an Assistant Pastor at
the Uptown Church and Minister Of Music. He is a minister and he works
with both of the Uptown Church and Gabbard Tabernacle
choirs. Rob first
learned to play the bass guitar at the age of 13. A
couple years later, he picked out a song on the piano
that he heard from a TV commercial and within 6 months
he taught himself how to play the piano by ear and was
playing in church. In addition to his work in the
church, He plays piano for the group. He can also play
several other instruments including, organ, bass guitar,
and drums. Rob has a great ear for music and has started
writing songs.
Rob runs the sound for The Gabbards and plays the piano
in services and in revivals Rob is in the early years of
his ministry and we believe he’ll continue to blossom
into a great worker and minister for the Lord. |
Sunday School
We have wonderful Sunday School classes every Sunday morning
from 10:00 to 10:45 designed to meet the needs of ages from
beginners to teens to young adult to adult. Our teachers are
dedicated and anointed to teach the Gospel of Jesus. The Bible
says in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto
God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing
the word of truth”.
